This is one of those pieces that just steals my heart immediately. There is nothing I don't absolutely love about it. Thought to date to the provincial period, this Chinese Qing vessel features 4 perfectly preserved lugs that would likely have been used originally to tie this pot with ropes to a person or animal, for transporting goods. The hand painted floral detail is absolutely beautiful in an off-charcoal shade. Unfortunately, the spout on this piece has broken, not uncommon with a piece this old! Missing spout aside, it's an absolutely beautiful piece of history that deserves to be treasured in its next home.
