These darling little half-moon-shaped vessels are hand-carved from a solid piece of wood and originally would have been used to shape traditional Indian pastries such as samosas or gujiyas. The intricately carved ridges along the outer curve of the mold would've been used to seal the pastry's edges! Today, they make gorgeous little display pieces that could be used to hold jewellery, keys, matches, trinkets, or just to sit pretty atop a stack of books!
